Guy sitting on counter. Talking to outer office. Ignored us walking in. Finally got up and greeted. Less than enthusiastic like we were interrupting something. Little Kids were hopeful to see some characters or friendly interaction. Guy was exuberant but not in professional way. Girls felt a little intimidated.

The ladies at this Welcome Center went above & beyond in supplying us with needed maps and even held a particular tee shirt we wanted at Mesa Verde (that was out of stock there) for us until we could get by to pick it up! Nice people.

We are indebted to the welcome Center lady (Apologies for not having her name). She highlighted detailed maps to make a loop -Cortez -Lowry Pueblo-Hovenweep and back to Cortez plus road and trail conditions at the sites. Most importantly she was able to give us an idea if this trip was a good idea for a person who must use... More

A welcome find on our trip from Utah to Colorado. Staff at the centre were welcoming and well informed. We were provided with a wealth of information p, along with a free cup each of excellent, freshly made coffee! Just what we needed after a long journey. A big thanks from us both

Must stop here before seeing sights in Cortez Area. Also got good information on eateries. There is also an official gift shop for Mesa Verde information and items for purchase.

We stopped at the Welcome Center upon our arrival in Cortez. The staff members were very friendly and informative. Provided assistnance on how best to see Mesa Verde NP and Four Corners, as well as information about places to dine in town. There was a plethora of literature available and even tickets for the Balcony House tour at Mesa Verde.
