It is a nice place to have a leisurely stroll after a sumptuous lunch. We met up with my wife's extended family and walked around the lake.

We rented the motorized cycle built for four but only one is at the control. The lake although looks big, took us less than 20 mins to complete. As it was an hour rental, we went another slower round the lake. Stop by one of their cafes for coffee and waffles. A stretch of shops mostly same cycle rental and... More

The Lake is not big, the name of Meihua comes from it's shape look "Meihua", but the scenery is beautiful. When you bike around the Lake you can see it from different angles.

A relaxing place to enjoy the morning breeze. Coffee shops are open not very early. Else will be good to enjoy the scenery with a cup of coffee. You will find bicycle rental right at the entrance. Comes with electronic versions too. Cycling around the park will take you less then 10 mins around the lake with those electronic types.... More

My neighbour. who lives in Florida , loves to visit the Mei Hua Lake whenever he returns to his home town for his annual holidays. It is not only an interesting and healthy walk around the lake but there is a small group of Artists that has gathered together to draw and create their arts. Good place to visit if... More

The lake is very pretty, albeit small. To go on a boat ride, get there around noon because they close relatively early. There are vendors and bike rentals on the small side street that leads to the lake where you can get sausages in rice. There are also a lot of friendly stray dogs to pet.

Great time walking round the park and eating the local snacks. The peanut pancake ice cream was fantastic! The best in Yilan. Generous servings of peanuts were dusted onto the ice cream. The stalls here are the most generous in portion. The other stalls in Taiwan only serve like 1/2 the amount. The chicken wings stuffed with glutinous rice is... More
