Immediate feel is a fairly commericalised feel. But it is still an attempt by the local tourism board to house many traditional arts cultural stuff within a location/place. This will be easier than running to different places to experience the "culture". Ok to walk through and have quick glances of the arts. But if you want a real rustic feel... More

There are some traditional performances in summer vacation. And there are many stall-keepers and they sell some candies and toys. Some of them are fun. National Center for Traditional Arts is very fit adults and children. Because there are many different exhibitions and performances. And the park is full of ancient buildings. These activities and the ancient buildings can bring... More

As an expat it was enlightening for about an hour, but was done very quickly. A little cheesy and very commercial. Too touristy. The real thing: 'old streets' across Taiwan, are much better at giving you the right cultural vibe.

1. Transportation: you can take train/ bus to Lotung(羅東)/Yilan(宜蘭), then there are shuttle bus to get there around 40 minutes to 1 hr. 2. Entrance ticket will take 150NTD( 5 USD). 3. It is concentrated all traditional taiwanese cultures/ architectures into this park. 4. I believe that you can explore there around three hours above depending on whether you visit... More

It's supposed to be a place for you to experience traditional arts and culture but this place seems a bit too commercialised as in like a "tourist trap". Souvenirs can be quite expensive and the food is just average. Kids may like it more than adults as there are more activities suitable for them. There are performances at specific timings... More

許多台灣傳統文藝在現場呈現,琉璃、竹炭、布袋戲、龍鬚糖、捏麵人、毛筆...等,很適合全家大小踏青。 There are lots of traditional stuff, and sometimes they show you how they make it. There are also some mini shows going, and the one we watched was more for kids. It's not a must go place, but if you have time, I recommend to have a look.

A big area with a little bit of lots of Taiwan's culture: aircraft, arts, music and more. Good place to sample traditional snacks

In YiLan, we had a opportunity to visit a fantastic National Center for Traditional Arts in Taiwan. This park is so large there are many streets, alleys, gardens, shops, exhibits, that it feels like a small town. Plan on spending a full day! there are also quite a few tour busses that stop here, and many youn school children visit... More
