Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Located within view of the Tea Castle on Highway 7, the falls was named after a pioneer coffee planter. It is 97m or 318’ high. It is known as the ‘Veil of the Valley’. A tiered waterfall, it has three drops. There is a trail should you want to get closer and have the time. The best viewing area is actually up the road from the Tea Castle in the direction of Nuwara Eliya.

First things first. There are two viewing points. First one when you travel from the side of Hatton doesn't grant the full view of the falls. But the effect of the this spectacular falls seen through the thick foliage has it's merits. For a fuller view its the next viewing spot a few hundred meters ahead that would be suitable.

A short drive from Hatton and worth stopping at the viewpoint beside the road. Mlesna tea castle restaurant is opposite for a meal too. Although you get a glimpse of these falls from the train, you can't get a good photo without driving there.

Devon Falls is one of the most popular waterfall in the country specially due its clear view from the popular Hatton Nuwara Eliya Road. The best view is from Dimbula where a special viewpoint is located with parking facilities. On the other side of the road is the famous Mlesna Tea Center where you could have a fresh cup of tea could be had. Almost Everybody who travels on this road to Nuwara Eliya is bound to at least break rest here before continuing the journey.

Devon Falls looked beautiful from the view point. Not very far from St. Clair's Falls and not spread like St Clair but more beautiful. Water falls from quite high up of the hills and goes down quite low. It looks amazing. The surrounding hills, roads and a tea castle gives it a wonderful surrounding. The lovely rhythmic noise of the falls is enchanting. The road leading to the view points are quite winding but smooth as silk. Lovely road network. After visiting the Devon Falls from the view point, one can just go to the adjacent imposing Tea Castle to enjoy the tea and the wonderful view of the Falls area. We had our rented car and could go there easily.
