There was a festival on at the time, so not sure if it happens every week, but it was great fun. We saw a man with a huge Python AND 3 Cobras!! Great experience with these amazing animals. There's a fun kids park with swings, monkey bars etc., and large manicured lawn areas for relaxing. Good for few hours to... More

Not the best park in Sri Lanka and probably best to avoid on national holidays if you're looking for serenity but it helps in escaping the heat.

Really enjoyed these gardens, financially much cheaper than Hakgala. Good to visit early in the morning when the dew is still on the flowers. Bigger than I thought at first, it stretches for quite a way. Happily spent a couple of hours here, along with a few tourists, locals and the odd group of school children. Options to purchase food... April could be the nicest season to visit as almost all the flowers were blossoming. Nicely maintained but some shops in the middle and temporary huts make the entire thing look messy.

Good place to visit and enjoy the greenery. Hakgala Botanic Gardens are much better to visit and this place can be as a second option.

A lovely park, wonderful green, with flowers, birds and trees, really pleasant hideout for families. We also visited the small, informative museum explaining the history of Nuwara Eliya and the surrounding areas, particularly exciting to learn more about how the railways were built and the plantations. Recommended!

Beautifully kept gardens, we spent about an hour here just meandering around, I was taken aback by the size and number of the Bamboo and also some of the huge old trees.

We went there with three kids. Nice and calm place. There is a small park for younger kids to play in.
