bit of a hike from palmstone retreat. better ask the hotel to arrange transportation. once you finally get there its a nice place to visit once. (the view is definitely worth it) avoid bathing in the waterfall on top as could be dangerous.

A rich assemblage of cultural, faunas and human remains were excavated. These included geometric microlithic stone tools which, at 30,000 years old, are among the earliest in the world; and bone tools and evidence of the use of fire from 30,000 years ago onwards.

Belilena is a famous large cave located in Kithulgala. It holds evidence of a lost generation of Sri Lankans over 10,000 Years old. Nice to see it .

Very beautiful site. We got a jeep to the edge of a forest and then walked to the cave. Stunning - lots of photo opportunities!
