Beautiful way to see the landscape
Beautiful environment with an interesting landscape and wonderful views. Clear instructions, easy to use (entirely man powered by cycling but really not arduous at all). The main toilet facilities at the entrance were also very clean, with snacks and coffee available there.

Beautiful & fun! Not to be missed
A very fun & beautiful ride! Kids & adults friendly! The theme tunnels was the highlight, especially the last one before the midpoint rest. The Romance train back was scenic, perfect for the kids

    Enjoyable family activity
The Rail Park is a fun activity for the entire family. You first get to peddle your own train car for a short trip and along the way enjoy the scenery along the river and country side. Then you get aboard a open sided train which takes you to the end of the line where a bus picks you up and transports you back to the parking lot and your car. Lovely way to pass a couple of hours.

Gangchon rail bike park is about 2 hours subway ride from Seoul. The activity is rather unique and the scenery after the third tunnel was amazing. The 3 tunnels are different in the way they decorate the tunnels. The 3rd tunnel is a VR tunnel, which we did not managed to get the devices for it, nonetheless, the 3rd tunnel is still amazing without the VR experience.

The rail bike tour is a lot of dun. You can wither get a bike for 2 or 4 people and cycle along the old train tracks. There are four tunnels with different themes and a short train ride with nice views in the end of the tour. There is a café at the the start and the end of the biking path. The shuttle back to the starting point/ subway station is included. Absolutely worth the money.

If you want to do the rail bike and enjoy some lovely scenery then you have to go at the right time when it is more beautiful because if not, it will be quite boring doing the bike and no scenery. You take the rail bike (in twos or fours) then go round a certain route. There will be some tunnels to go through and they try to make it interesting by having loud music in the tunnel or lights.

I did a daytrip, with this, Nami island and Garden of morning calm (at night). It's a fun thing to do. The trail is 8,5km but a lot of it is automatic so you don't have to peddle. All the tunnels you pass through have a theme. And in the end you'll seethe river and mountains, beautiful!!

Last time I was here at early winter (late nov), it was super cold on the ride. This time, I was more prepared this round and dressed warmly with hat, gloves and turtle neck. It was a much more comfortable ride.

The seats can be adjusted for short legs like mine. Loved the cycling. It was managable. It passes a few tunnels but the last one was too glaring.

Visited as part of a tour package. It was unfortunately, the least enjoyable part of the day. Nothing really much to see. We had a private bike carriage and it can be difficult if you're cycling for 2 people, especially if you ride with a child, so bear that in mind if you're a group of 2. I travelled with someone with a mobility issue and the bike pedals were too high up for them to contribute in the ride.

Families may enjoy this in the summer.

At the end of the ride there is a big train to board that will take you back to the way out

It is very far away even though we had a friend drive us there. Took 2.5 hours from Seoul.
You can take a train there. From Seoul, with waiting for the train and changing trains, I think it will be around 3.5-4 hrs to get there. Gimyujeong Station is the one you need to get to for this Gangchon Rail Park.
It was a nice experience but July is def too hot. I think Autumn will be beautiful. You need to pre-purchase your tickets beforehand with a time and date. The park’s website is all in Korean so I got my tickets on Klook. It was the same price.
