My husband and I were on a road trip and I thought my husband would enjoy this stop, being a political science major in college. I was surprised that I enjoyed this stop. I really didn't know much about Herbert Hoover, but this museum has...More

Visited the site on our way through. Charming little place, with so much information and fascinating tidbits about our former president. I was not expecting to enjoy it so much, as it is usually my husband who likes these kinds of things. But I was...More

This was our third stop on our road trip. We viewed the museum which was a glorified gift shop. The grounds were lovely and well maintained. The little buildings in the village of his childhood was interesting. We didn’t visit the library but did ride...More

I found my trip to the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum to be very informational. I learned a tremendous amount about Hoover and his life journey. I would recommend taking some time to spend an afternoon in West Branch.

I was only vaguely aware of President Hoover prior to visiting the Presidential Library and Museum. What an eye opener on this humble man who really did so much, from setting standards (there weren't even standard mattress sizes until Hover mandated this), through his early...More

If you thought you knew about Hoover, please visit this library. He gave so much more to people, all over the globe, than I ever knew. As with most presidential burial sites, it is truly lovely. You will not be disappointed with this place!

From the title above, I guess you can tell I enjoyed my visit here. We started at the National Park Service Historic location visitor center. Follow the signs in town. We saw a film there and walked the grounds showing Hoover’s birthplace, church, schoolhouse, and...More

Yes. The Library is right in town, is if not in the parking lot, which is quite large, it is only a very short walk from downtown. Definitely worth a visit, as it is a very well done Library.

Margaret Hoover visits the Museum several times a year, she does not do specific speaking engagements but often participates in the annual celebration the first weekend in August.
