Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Day: Saturday.
Time of day: Approx 11am.

Accessibilty: Constructed stairs leading down but some access is via more natural stairways that are formed from the earth, and so less accessible especially if it has been raining.

Buziness. 1 other couple arrived after us, took a photo and moved on. We were there for at least 20 minutes completely alone with the waterfall, until we moved on to the second one.

Entrance Fee: 20 000 IDR

Before you see the waterfall, you see the powerful spray, blasting from around the rock and the energy of this experience is set. This is a powerful cascading rush. Not a waterfall to get under but an energy to absorb and give thanks for.

Then there is the magical walk up the earth created stairs to what opens out to what seems like a magical tropical garden. Giant Ferns that felt like small flowers for a giant, and I was just an ant. Butterflies swooning around and I heard something (maybe a monkey) jumping from the tree tops.

At the second waterfall, the optical illusion is easy to see and the current is as powerful. I'm not sure how long these currents will be powerful for given that Bali will shortly be entering into the dry season.

All in all, one of my favourite waterfall experiences.

N.B If you're planning a day out, Pelisan Waterfall is a good add on to this one. It's about a 1hr bike ride away, but the countryside and jungle views, and the villages you drive through are what Bali (and staying in Ubud) is all about for me. Stunning!!!

Amazing walk through the forest down to the waterfalls. Mr Rain is very friendly and took us from one waterfall to the next one walking through a river on foot (jeans are not advised). It’s a must see.

This is a lovely walk if you are staying at Dedry or nearby. 25 minute walk through a small village and a small hike down to the waterfall. Staff are friendly and they are just building up tourism in the community. They also let you roam the rice fields afterwards.

Good vibe of the jungle and a really friendly caretaker of the entrance. The rain had made a big impact on the way to the waterfall as the route is damaged but the sticks were helping.
