I can't recommend Ketut's hideaway enough. For anyone looking for an off the beaten track day trip in Bali. The full day package with amazing snorkelling, such good food, and the chance to really get a view of day to day village life and customs without the touristy feel - alternatively of course you can just relax in the beach... we came here the second time. last year, we were just snorkeling, this time we bought the full package. Snorkeling, nice and big lunch, some show on Indonesian culture made a good mix for a great day even heavy rain in afternoon. Worthwhile spent day!

This hidden place is tucked away in a local Balinese village, we need to walk some distance in order to get to the secret place. Once we reached, we were really amazed by the view of Indian Ocean and mountains just right in front of the hideaway. We were welcomed with coconuts from the friendly family before snorkeling. Mas Bayu,... More

We have had a few friends tell us about Ketut's Hideaway but this was our first time. We had a fantastic day the snorkelling was great, you see so many varieties of fish. We thought the visibility was great but Ketut said it wasn't as good as can be! The lunch Ketut's wife prepared was amazing - well worth the... More

I am not a great snorkerler, so small things make me happy already. :-) However, entering the water from Ketut's place following Ketut's son to the undestroyed corals around 300m away was worthwhile. We did not book the 'full package' with lunch, cooking lesson and village visit. Just two person snorkeling tour (together: 40USD). It was worth it and I... More

We had friends who recommended Ketut's Hideaway or we may never have discovered it. We spent a lovely day snorkelling, eating a wonderful traditional lunch with all the ingredients explained, learning about local offering traditions, and even taking a turn of making the intricate palm basket work that is used for offerings. I am sure we could have had these... More

Had my wife's family in town for her birthday in January, and we decided to have the day at Ketut's hideaway as we had been there before and had such a good experience. What can I say, it was outstanding!!!! once again. The day started with a walk through the village to see the pig turning on the spit (by... More

Our driver took my family and I to this out of the way location on Amuk Bay, just around from Padang Bai where we met Ketut and his lovely wife. We went a short distance into the bay in his boat and jumped off the side with our snorkeling gear and quickly saw lots of beautiful coral reefs and colourful... More

I was fortunate enough to have a private boat tour of the bay and islands on a beautiful day when both the sea and Mount Agung were calm and peaceful. The boat is a traditional one that Ketut has owned for over 20 years. It was certainly easy to look over the side and see the beautiful coral. We also... More
