we walked along legian beach a few times, and it was very clean, and unlike our last trip to bali, which was about 20 years ago, we were not bothered by locals trying to sell something.

Legian Beach has golden sand and warm waters. Surf can be big at times but it is patrolled by Lifesavers with safe swimming flags. It can be busy with sellers and the trick is to look at nothing otherwise you will get no peace. Lots...More

A beautiful spot to watch the sun go down with a nice chilled Bintang. Massive pity about the rubbish and the drunks making fools of themselves come the early evening. Otherwise, a gorgeous spot!

Lovely beach for sunbathing, cheap sunbeds but not for casual swimmers as under current a bit strong. Drinks service to your beds, very relaxing

Nice beach but not at all peaceful as you get hassled by people selling things all day. Some don't take no for an answer which can be frustrating

In order to lounge and sunbathe on the beach, is it required to rent a chair? Or can you just throw a towel down on the sand?

I want to ask a question that will help all traveler in trip adviser. How do you negotiate a price in the beach for services, and how much is considered an expensive item or service.

Depends on the service or item. My wife and I generally spend the first 2 - 3 days relaxing and browsing for a few hours each day to see what is available, and what, if anything, that we want. We check a sample of markets... More
