My girlfriend and I, both experienced bikers in the Netherlands, decided to do the downhill tour. As we were the only ones we had a "private" guide: Mono. His English was really good and he knew a lot about the area. We had a pick up from our resort and were driven to the starting point at 900m (on Mount... More

Booked a private tour for myself and my daughter which started with private transfers from Sanur. The Company designed a tour for us based on our ability and continually assessed the route throughout the morning. The guide was great and stopped at various points along the way to explain where we were and the local culture. Finished the day at... More

We did the off the beaten track ride and it was excellent. Komang and the driver picked us up from our hotel just outside sidemen and we were driven to a nearby village. The start of the ride was mostly on roads but down some pretty steep hills. Komang was very good at taking everything at our pace as my... More

If you get the chance do this. You get to ride through some fantastic country. A fair amount of it downhill, but there are some challenging sections uphill also...well worth the effort! The bikes and helmets are good quality. Mono (as in stereo, but mono as he like to say) is a personable, engaging character who tailors the ride to... More

Collected from our accommodation at 8am and headed for the start of our ride up Mt Agung. Mono our guide and Nana our driver were very friendly and easy to communicate with. Our mountain bikes and helmets were in good condition. We enjoyed 28kms of cycling through a variety of places...rice paddies, forests, roads, villages etc. We stopped whenever we... More

I did the East Bali 'Sunset bike tour'. We were picked up from our hotel at 2 pm and driven up to Mt. Agung. We started riding downhill at about 3.30 pm. Our bicycles and helmet were in very good condition. I know how to ride a bike but don't do it much so I found it bit challenging at... More

I did the East Bali "off the beaten track" tour today and was really impressed. The roads were a little tough at times (I did an intermediate trail having never really mountain biked before!) but it was a fun challenge for me and my guide Mono was really great at going the same speed at me, and having stops when... Our group of 6 adults had a superb day with helpful and knowledgeable tour guide Komang. It was a full day 8am to 4pm, with an hour or more drive from Amed at the beginning and end, about 3 hours on the bikes with plenty of stops along the way, and a relaxing few hours at the lovely white sand... We did the adventure Tour with 3 families And loved it. Our youngest child is 12. The Tour is a little bit adventurous but mainly for the parents. The teenagers crossed down the mountain without fear. Komang is a very nice guide that knows the area well. During the trip he explains things about the nature And let you taste... More

The small office of East Bali Bike Tours in Amed is just past Sunset Point and opposite the Taman Bebek Hita restaurant (also very good). The bikes that they offer are basic but sturdy hardtails with flat pedals. The tour that I took was a very leisurely 18km, all on tarmac roads and nearly all downhill (some steep descents in...
