colourful, friendly with lots of good food for sale. the actual beach is a hazard with lots of human poo, so be warned. it doesn't stop the pilgrims who are undaunted and have fun.

The name comes from the Devi kanya KumariTemple in the region. It is the southernmost tip of peninsular India, and is surrounded on three sides by the Laccadive Sea.[

kanyakumari beach is an excellent located beach where you can see 3 different coloured waters of indian ocean, bay of Bengal and Arabian sea meeting together. Not very clean beach but a breezy beach. good to be there.

Sunrise can be seen from Kanyakumari beach. However, it can be seen from most of the hotel tarraces too. Sunset can be seen from Cape Comorin, which is also within 1 km from town's center.
