Same as vivekandha rock people spit ever where all waste from ocean are dropped here no cleaning and not advisable to travel for elders and small kids too crowded during weekends. try to get to the boat as early. Even when getting tickets at the starting point reach early as the line gets long and need to wait longer during... More

Installation of this 133 ft tall and 7000 Ton statue on a small rock about 500M off the coast is indeed an engineering feat.

It reminds one of the colossal statue built by Nebuchadnezzar of Biblical times. I have not seen a statue as big as this, that too from a distance. This statue is visible from any point on the shore. It is an Engineering and sculptural marvel, built in our times. Tiruvalluvar wrote thirukural - the famous collection two line tamil poems... More

Need a Jetty to visit this Statue. The last jetty leaves at 4 pm, so please plan your visit accordingly. The Thiruvalluvar Statue stands in the middle of the Kanyakumari Sea. Its a very huge statue and looks just like the Indian Version of the statue of Liberty.

Whilst going to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial you pass this huge statue of the poet. When we went because of the low tide the ferry was not stopping at the statue. You get a good view from the ferry itself so no need to stop there

The installation of 'Thiruvalluvar Statue' adjacent to the 'Vivekananda Rock Memorial' is a great tribute to the Philosopher by the then Tamil Nadu Government. It is a good idea to connect the 'Thiruvalluvar Statue' with the 'Vivekananda Rock' by a Foot bridge so that an easy access can be made to these places. People can cover these places at one... More

Situated close to the Vivekananda Memorial, this statue is a symbol of the greatness of the ancient Indian literature. But nothing much to do here except clicking a few photographs.
