Ekvira temple is one of the oldest temple in lonavala. its worth visiting once. It is situated on the top of the mountain so we have to climb some steps to reach the temple. Also superb valley view from the place.

One can reach Lonavala via train or bus and then take a local bus till Karla. However they would drop you away from the temple, either at Karla phata where there is a gate of the temple.... More

You can complete a 2 in 1 visit. There is first a Road Entry Ticket, then parking and then a separate ticket for visiting Karla caves, which is not worth as 70% is closed. The steps upward is populated with vendors selling flowers, sweets, chaas

This Place in nearby Lonavala, incase you are traveling from Lonavala Side then you need to pass Toll Naka, then from MTDC turn left. Road up to foot hill very very narrow and is OK, however driving uphill is quite thrilling due steep Ghat (few) and vehicle coming from up hill. Limited Parking facility is available at Uphill. Yu will... More

Its just another temple, the only difference is that it is on a hill...right adjacent to the Karla caves. The religious-minded may not agree, but I feel that this relatively modern structure does not fit next to the ancient caves...

Ekvira Devi Temple, is situated just at the entry of Karla Caves. Nice temple and you get peace being there. In order to enter Karla Caves, you have to buy entry tickets at nominal price of Rs. 20/- for Indians. With the same ticket, you can visit this temple.
