The waterfalls springing from cliffs and crystal clear water perfect for kayaking are what capture most peoples attention. Don't overlook stepping back in time to tour the farm house made of volcanic rock or the 1920s gray barn with intricate wooden beams in the loft....More
We visited 1000 Springs Hot Pools, great swimming pool with two diving boards, log attraction to try and balance on, picnic room, private soak rooms (for extra admission), deck overlooking river, plenty of parking. Great family activity.
Going here in the cold months is a great way to fight cabin fever. There are a couple of hot springs to swim in, drive up and see Shoshone falls (near twin falls) , and eat alligator or sturgeon for dinner at Frogs Landing( Hagerman)

There is a place called 1000 Springs resort; we walked around and checked out the area for a future visit. There are tent sites, I think 2 small cabins [no pets inside allowed] there are a few RV spots, there is a boat launch. In door there is a pool from geo thermal spring. They rent kayaks and maybe canoes, I saw some SUPs but not sure if those were rentals.
The tent sites all look nice on grassy areas; some have are closer to docks than others, so if you are bringing something you want to tie up to dock, request a site close. Its also close to the river cruise place and there was a winery next door. Seems like a neat place to stay for a few days.
