I love this shop! It’s a friendly atmosphere, welcoming to everyone, and I mean Ev. Ery. One. There is something for everyone, including a bar for wine, coffee and beer. Poetry nights, young adult book clubs, nights of music, lgbt themes, ethnically diverse, couch and...More

We visited on a Sunday mid-day. The selection of books was really good. Their were plenty of spaces to sit and spread out and read or drink. Wine, beer, mimosas.. great concept. We'll be back!

Scuppernong is as fun as it gets for book lovers! When you arrive, you will notice the hot-selling books as well as those especially chosen by the owner...which are also true winners. The wine. cheese & sandwich bar is to your right. After choosing a...More

In every educated, liberal, little city there's a great local bookstore and Scuppernong fits the bill for Greensboro. My friend and I came in to browse the book selection and have lunch. We both had a gruyere grilled cheese and raw butternut squash salad with...More

This place is incredible!! You can sip wine or coffee while browsing through the books they have. Lots of reading on critical race theory, queer theory, gender & feminisms, and plenty of diverse children’s literature as well!

Scuppernong is warm and inviting just the way a good bookstore should be. Tables of new arrivals by topic and shelves of both new and used books. Plus a nice-sized children’s and young adult section. You can also get coffee and soup and a snack...More

I loved this place. I'm not from the area and decided to stop in while tooling around downtown. Even though I have an e-reader, I bought a hardcover book to show support this wonderful place. They had a place you can sit, enjoy a cup...More

We frequent Scuppernong often since we discovered it! Personable and knowledgeable staff and a wide variety of books organized in great categories. If they don't stock it they can get it for you. Depending on time of day grab a tea/coffee or an adult beverage...More

This is such a nice place! It's small, but the staff make you feel at home. I haven't found too many books for my taste, but I'm specific. Coffee and books... not a better combo.

The book selection could be a little better but the space this store operates in and the fact that they have a wine bar with food makes it well worth a visit. The staff is very friendly too.
