JJ Meet n Greet

Mostly an indoor tour but there are outside points of interest too. Old cemetery that can be viewed, but the outer buildings are available by request only.

Sightseeing, I recommend you learn a lot about contemporary culture. Museum collections may not be impressive but they reflect reality

Took my 2 daughters here(3 times this month already). If you like history and hands on,this is the place for you. There are 3 levels of things to look at and learn about. There is also a great gift shop on the second level and a cemetery out back. We always have a wonderful time and the volunteers there are... More

We visited and my 4-year old daughter found it a bit boring. Prob not the best place for that age. The two adults enjoyed it thought it's very limited

The Smithsonian has nothing over the Greensboro Historical Museum! We were headed to Charleston and spent one night near Greensboro. We had a few hours and happened to stumble onto the Greensboro Historical Museum. What good fortune! The museum exhibits are so well organized and displayed. The history, commerce, and culture of Greensboro from revolutionary times to present are explained... More

The Greensboro Historical Museum is one of the very best local museums of history I have visited. What makes this museum special is that it not only captures the story of the Greensboro community from its pre-Revolutionary War days to now, it really tells the story of Piedmont North Carolina and its impact on North Carolina, the South and the... This is an interesting and beautifully put together museum promoting the history of Greensboro and Guilford County through much of its history. Definitely worth taking a trip to.

This is the best place to do it. Whether your just visiting Greensboro or moving here, I would highly recommend you set aside a day to experience the wealth of history this museum possesses. Very informative, very interesting and very nicely displayed. I went here with my wife and five children and had such a great time.

The museum is small, but does give you a sense of local history and some very extraordinary exhibits. The museum staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Normally I'd expect to pay for such a fine museum, but this one is free. Expect to spend at least an hour there, or maybe two. There is free parking in the rear of the... More
