Most of the history books focus on the American Revolutionary wars in the northern part of the 13 colonies, so it was nice to learn something about a southern battle. The visitor's center has a wealth of information and several good films - take time...More

The employees are extremely courteous. If you have jury duty your cell phone is allowed. If not you have to lock it in a lock box outside. If you have jury duty you have to walk a lot of blocks to get to the court...More

This area was lovely. You get to take a nice walk in the outdoors and learn history at the same time. It was so neat to be there. We missed out on reenactments. We have a toddler so the stroller had to be on the...More

Just got your question. Hope this answer isn't too late. I spent about 30 minutes there since I teach US History and the staff was overly accommodating to me. There is a brief film and the outside buildings.

There are no picnic areas in the battlefield park out if respect. What the others here are referring to is called Country Park which is right next to the battlefield. There are short trails between them.

You can call 336-525-3009 and it will start the tour. It also sends you a link to the web site that was a little easier to use.
