Though this area was somewhat affected by wildfires, it was still amazing. It was very pretty throughout the ride and at the top. There are many things to do, though it can get a little pricey.

The view from the tram was beautiful but there really wasn't much to do once we got to the top. The shops were definitely more for tourists and a bit expensive. Ok to do at least once.

We enjoyed the trip up on the aerial tramway. Unbeatable views of the area. I rode the ski mountain coaster at the top. It is a wild ride. Really a fun place.

The views on the ride up are stunning. The amusement park is fun for the kids and there is even an ice skating rink at the top. The kids enjoyed the rides especially the alpine slide.

We have rode the tram a couple of times. Love the views and the ride to the top, but the activities and the snack bar are outrageous! The food there is so so so expensive. I would recommend eating before you go up.

We did the scenic chairlifts to the top. Took a few picts. Saw a young black bear on lift ride down. Teenager liked seeing the wild bear but wasn't crazy about how the lift ride was. Me & hubby enjoyed the quiet relaxing ride. Then...More

Thought the teens would love this stop at Ober but ended up disappointed in the lack of attractions aimed at their age group. Being from the North, our local ski areas have magnificent summer playgrounds. The lift was really slow. The alpine slide was short...More

Took the tram up the mountain yesterday morning. Waited 10 minutes to go up (and the ride lasts 10 minutes). Stunning views and such a unique way to travel up the mountain. When we arrived at the top, the attractions are cool, but dated and...More

Took the family and rode the tram to the top, the views were amazing. Kids loved the alpine slide and we even saw a bear on the chairlift ride.

We are glad you enjoyed Ober Gatlinburg's Aerial Tramway and Scenic Chairlift, they both have beautiful views that change throughout the year. We try to have a little bit of something for everyone when they come to Ober Gatlinburg.

If you can pop on the tram without waiting, this might be fun. We visited on a very hot, busy day. We waited approximately 40 minutes, both directions, in intense heat without much ventilation. These waits took away from the modest fun of this dated...More

You can take a purse with you on all the rides at Ober Gatlinburg except the mountain coaster. I am not positive about the water slide but lockers are available. Also, shoes with straps must be worn on the mountain... More

Actually, you can - if you don't mind it getting a bit wet. There are three water rides. Only one got us a bit wet. The other two - only a very little. My purse got a bit damp, but was fine.

They usually don't start making snow until after Thanksgiving. Last October it was up in the 90's!!! You just never know around here what the weather will do.
