It's sad to see all the damage caused by the wildfire, but it is an awesome view. In Gatlinburg you can't tell it happned. Still just the friendiness place in Smokies!

Quick stop, well worth it. Great thing about this overlook is it is on the route to several other destinations that are well worth visiting within the park. Absolutely stop here for pictures if you're in the area and want a breathtaking view.
We make the drive to the overlook every trip. It's a great location for pictures and to see the entire downtown strip of Gatlinburg.
The shops were uninteresting and I thought the views would be more spectacular, that said though, it was a scenic drive up and lots of things for the kids to do.

Beautiful view and it goes AROUND Gatlinburg, which after you drive through once, you probably don't want to do again.
