I went in March and the waterfall inside was nearly all frozen. Once inside the cave, the ice is very slippery. I'm assuming as summer progresses, the ice thins out.

yep! ride slow but worth the small bad road trip :)
Can midsize SUV be able to drive up there to the parking lot through bumpy road? How bad the road is? Will it be a safe hike to go with a 5 year old?
