Short little hike to see the hanging garden. After seeing the hanging garden hike to the top to see the view of the panoramic view of the area.

You probably want to do this either at the beginning or end of your day. It's short and a fairly smooth walk until the end when you climb up the sandstone a bit. You'll find the gardens here, created from the water seep through the...More

The trail to the Hanging Gardens is clearly marked. Not a must-see destination but pretty if you have extra time on your hands. There is a lookout with good views of the dam area if you keep walking past the gardens and climb up the...More

Pleasant little hike which is all marked out with stones lined up along the side. It can get slightly confusing at the end hear the actual hanging gardens. We followed the sound of voices from the people who were already there. Its a little to...More

Nice little hike with great views from the top. This only about a mile and a half. At the end is a carved out area of rock that water seeps through. Lots of ferns growing in the rock there which makes the "garden". Fun trail,...More

Trail is marked by side stones. When you get to the wall of rock you think..this is all? BUT you must turn left for a little bit more before you find the actual "hanging garden" of maiden fern.

This is an easy 1 mile hike on flat ground until you get to the Hanging Garden. Then you can hike up the rocks to see the greenery growing right out of the canyon walls, pretty spectacular. The trailhead it right before the bridge if...More

Our afternoon hike was hot - 100 degrees - but not long. The "gardens" are an area under a cliff where water accumulates on the walls and plants grow. The scenery was pretty and the shady area was perfect for a siesta.

The "hanging garden" was pretty dry in August 2018, and there is a limited view of Lake Powell, but it was interesting to walk along the slick rock and get a bit off the beaten path. It is short enough for young children and much...More

A local lady told that there were orchids growing among the ferns. However, because it was too early in the year for them to be in flower, we were unable to positively identify them.
