Description:

Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips...

Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips anywhere on the mighty Colorado River. We provide half-day and full day tours that are perfect for the entire family (kids aged 4 and up). Departing from the scenic town of Page, Arizona, your trip will begin with an exciting and exclusive ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. At river level, with the dam soaring 700 feet above you, you will board a comfortable pontoon raft for your journey downstream. While on the River, you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river in the western United States. Your experienced guide will tell the story of the area’s soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, exploration by Major John Wesley Powell and others, and the river's modern role in the Southwest’s water and power delivery system.A stop to view an impressive set of ancient petroglyphs will offer a you chance to stretch your legs and enjoy your lunch while bearing witness to the area’s former inhabitance by ancient native cultures. If you choose, you may also refresh yourself by wading in the cold, clear river. Come and visit the river that we love... You'll be inspired!

After seeing Horseshoe Bend from the rim last year, we were compelled to see it from the bottom up - and what an amazing sight it is. Colorado River Discovery is the only licensed operator on the Colorado River for such pontoon boat trips, but they definitely have it together. We opted for the 7:30 a.m. half day trip (in... More

We had Gerry as our guide down the Colorado River Smooth river rafting. He was informative, knowledgeable, personable, delightful! He had lots to tell us and some awesome pictures, too. The Smooth River Rafting is a must-do when visiting in the Grand Canyon.

It wasn't a cheap combo but we really enjoyed our day. The float trip was peaceful and the scenery beautiful. Our guide Beth could use a little more training as she couldn't answer some questions people were asking but she still was a wonderful guide. As we had a combo tour we were provided with lunch. It was the best... More

I had booked a raft trip with my husband for our anniversary trip. Unfortunately, I feel ill during our travels with a stomach flu and did not recover in time to attend the trip. We emailed the night before to advise that I would not be able to make it due to the illness. We were told that we could... More

We did the AM secret canyon hummer tour and the PM rafting. This tour was worth every cent and more. We had a total of 7 people in the Secret Canyon (including the guide) and it was an unforgettable experience. Our guide Vance was a true gem that truly enjoys his job. He was helpful with camera settings and helped... More

Absolutely amazing!! Most incredible experience I have ever had. What is better than relaxing on a large raft going down the Colorado river in-between canyons and listening to history about your location?? NOTHING!!! Make sure to bring a camera to capture the magnificent wildlife and petroglyphs around the canyons. Great tour to go on when visiting Arizona. I will never... More

This is a great (and safe) water experience. The scenery is magnificent and the guides are great. It might be too much sitting for kids to do the all day trip( which is 5 hours on the water including a lunch break). We loved the scenery from the water and enjoyed the short hike to the petroglyphs. It was a... More

The tour guide, Matt was very friendly, fun and knowledgeable. We took a Hummer to the Secret Canyons which are so beautiful pictures don't do them justice. To get there and back gives the Hummer an exciting workout. Our Bistro lunch was well prepared and just right, enough food for a bit of leftovers. The Canyon raft tour was lazy... More
