Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips...

Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips anywhere on the mighty Colorado River. We provide half-day and full day tours that are perfect for the entire family (kids aged 4 and up). Departing from the scenic town of Page, Arizona, your trip will begin with an exciting and exclusive ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. At river level, with the dam soaring 700 feet above you, you will board a comfortable pontoon raft for your journey downstream. While on the River, you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river in the western United States. Your experienced guide will tell the story of the area’s soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, exploration by Major John Wesley Powell and others, and the river's modern role in the Southwest’s water and power delivery system.A stop to view an impressive set of ancient petroglyphs will offer a you chance to stretch your legs and enjoy your lunch while bearing witness to the area’s former inhabitance by ancient native cultures. If you choose, you may also refresh yourself by wading in the cold, clear river. Come and visit the river that we love... You'll be inspired!

We added this to our trip last minute and it was the best decision. I highly recommend this for everyone! We had a 5 year old and 10 year old with us. They loved it too! It is really impressive to drive through the initial long tunnel, be at the base of the enormous concrete dam and float along massive... More

Our family did the rafting tour on Thanksgiving day and I would happily spend every Thanksgiving this way! Such a beautiful, peaceful experience. Our guide was Brad and he was very knowledgeable, funny and entertaining! We learned geology, history and enjoyed his guitar playing and mesquite smoked turkey (even though we had already paid for a delicious boxed lunch). I... More

Traveled to Page to see Horseshoe Bend of the Colorado River and found out about the River Discovery tour. Very reasonably priced and we spent several hours on the river on large rubber rafts with a knowledgeable tour guide and beautiful scenery. No white water rapids so can be enjoyed by all. You put into the river on the large... More

Took this trip on 1st November. Picked up coach transfer from the office and a short drive to Glen Canyon Dam. The very short walk from the coach to the boat is a high security area, hard hats are worn, no photography, and small personal items must be carried in a clear plastic bag (they supply them but we took... Colorado RIver Discovery offers a full day raft trip (about 7 hours) or a half day(about 3 1/2 hours) As well you can add an optional lunch or an optional (approx. 1 hour) helicopter trip to Tower Butte to the east of town. I opted for the 1/2 day raft and the Tower Butte helicopter trip. The whole package gave... More

We had a great time! Brad, our guide was such a great entertainer. He played the guitar and sang for us on the boat. It was beautiful. He even brought turkey to share with everyone on his boat. What a great thanks giving day! One thing that we were missing was a warm jacket. It could get really cold on... More

We took the half-day pontoon boat float from below the Glen Canyon Dam. Our guide was Rhett and he made the trip fun with his great sense of humor, fund of river stories and ability to answer our questions. He took us close to the canyon walls. His enthusiasm was infectious.

Our guide Brad was super cool and very knowledgeable. He also plays guitar, sings well and conveys nice messages through his songs. The tour is 3 hours and is well worth the price. Winter may not be the best time though. I will visit again for sure.
