it is an amazing experience walking through the canyon and photographing the light and shadows playing in the sand stone crevices. If you are a photographer, take the photographer's tour. Remember to bring a tripod.

I chose the Upper Canyon because it did not involve going up and down a ladder. We did not come at the time where the sunbeams make for stunning pictures. However, the Canyon is still stunning. If you make a reservation with Antelope Canyon Navajo Tours, you will have a short ride. Our guide was awesome. She helped us with... More

We booked our trip (from Australia) around seeing both upper and lower canyons.Staying in Page made this easily accessible. We were booked on the 1pm tour in October. It was getting a bit dark even by then in the canyon. The upper canyon is well worth going to but in our opinion not as great as the lower (see entry... More

Went to Page from the Grand Canyon for the day to explore the Antelope Canyons. We did both the Upper and Lower Antelope Canyons. The Upper Antelope Canyons is very nice - a photographer's haven but there are too many people in the tour group to enjoy it properly. There are 14 people in our group with 4 groups in... More

The Upper seems to be less popular than Lower, especially during off-season. So, less people, more enjoyable. It cost $20 (plus the Navajo charge to be in their territory) because one simply walks to it, while Lower cost double that because a ride on a 4-wheel vehicle with high clearance is needed. There is more light, and there are stairs... More

My partner and I traveled to Page looking forward to seeing Antelope Canyon. We booked with Antelope Canyon Tours. Although looking at their website they seemed to be professional our experience was so disappointing. Just one of many companies operating we found that many groups of people were visiting the slot canyon. One way in and the same way out.... More

We didn't go during peak season and just drove to the Canyon entrance where there are tour guides available and it ended up being way better because the group was way smaller than the pre reserved tours. Our guide, Needa, was phenomenal and a photographer herself so she showed us how to take the best photos once inside. This place... More

So beautiful but is totally overrun by people. I am so glad I went but as with most things these days, it will not last if they don't do something to control the floods of visitors. Hopefully they will locate some additional canyons to open for tours. You must sign up with a tour, recommend Adventurous Antelope Canyon Photo Tours.

Yes, Upper Antelope Canyon is as beautiful as all the pictures you see (although some of them are overly colored!). But, here is my version of the overall experience: We took one of the well-advertised tours (they are all very similar). It began in a gas station parking lot where a Native American Indian did a lengthly Native American dance,... More

We took the 10:30 a.m. tour with Antelope Canyon Tours and Leonard was our guide. He is outstanding and didn't rush the tour and shared with us Navajo history. The light wasn't as bright as hoped, so I would suggest taking the 1:30 tour. There were a lot of tourists in the canyon and it can get a bit crowded... More
