Good variety of beer/cocktails. It had a fun atmosphere. A really cool venue with some games at the back. The service was hit and miss. One bartender served someone who had just arrived to the bar before my friend and I who had been waiting for a few minutes before her arrival. -- However, another bartender who we got to... More

Big space, high ceilings, nice bar, lots of beers on tap, and two bocci courts in back. When I was there no one was playing. This is located on corner of 5th and Union. Good place for a drink. Attractive crowd, Where were all these great bars in Brooklyn when I was growing up?

...with excellant atmosphere. Dropped in with a friend while we were waiting to go to dinner. The bartender made me an excellant double Rye Manhattan with out the Big city price. Wish I could have stayed longer and tried the bocci ball courts.

This place has a great atmosphere and sometimes there is livemusic for free in the basement floor. On weekends it can get quite crowdy (not a bad thing ;-).

On a recent visit, my son and his fiance, who live in Brooklyn, suggested we go check out Union Hall in Park Slope. Our intention was to play Bocce Ball. It's just a sign up kind of thing, but the lanes were scheduled for leagues. Disappointed but we stayed for drinks and snacks anyway. It's a cool, trendy place in... More

Was there night before Thanksgiving and the drinks were clearly watered down! Bummer. Won't put my money on their bar again.

Awesome bar, great whiskey choices and a library vibe. How can you not love this place? There are multiple nooks and crannies that need exploring. Hanging out by the fireplace is a must during a cold Brooklyn night (if you can grab a seat near it). I'd recommend this as a perfect date spot.

Bocce ball lanes, library room with heavenly ceilings, little side garden area, downstairs with more private concerts... I loved this place! The only reason for 'very good' and not excellent is due to how long it took to order and then clear out my tab. Perhaps just not staffed well enough for a Tues night. Regardless, Union Hall is a... Spent a couple of hours downstairs, where there's a tiny scene and a room that fits some 80 People. We went to see a (regular) show. We hadn't bought tickets in advance, and at the entrance "Sold out" was written on a Board. Still we went downstairs and talked to the crew, who let us wait and see if someone... More

Where else can you go that looks like a old lodge or library out front, but has bocce lanes out back?! One of the funnest bars we went to and it came with great service and very good drinks. Very cool vibe going on here...go there...or maybe not, as the local hipsters will lose their favourite local.
