Be prepared for a hike. Historical references abound. Also interesting is the battle of Brooklyn revolutionary war references. Take water. It gets hot!

We took the tour of the cemetery this weekend and we loved it. I have lived across the street from the cemetery for many years and didn't know anything about its history or who is buried there. I learned a lot and I am looking...More

This is where to go to find history. The cemetery has been around 200 yrs. Some very famous people are buried here. There is a tour bus that will take you around this spacious landmark.

The official website doesn't say anything about picnics being allowed or not allowed, but I have read reviews from people who WERE allowed to picnic and from people who WERE NOT allowed to picnic. Anyone have any recent picnicking experiences?

I know that during the Memorial Day Concert, people are picnicking everywhere and when my son had a field trip there, they ate their lunches on the grass. Hope that helps.
