The repurposing of many industrial buildings into beautiful restaurants and shops is so wonderful. You're right on the water with the best views.

We came here for the flea market which is interesting but not special although the riverside area is fun. Good views across the river, children’s playground and pleasant walks.

Visited DUMBO after walking across the Brooklyn Bridge. It seems a really nice area with lots of restaurants and craft shops. We visited on a Sunday when the outdoor flea market was on. It was reasonably quiet compared to other places visited on our trip

You haven't seen New York City until you've visited Dumbo. Great views and fantastic things to do from theatre to cafes and of course a shake shack. Also there is a lighthouse building that sells great ice cream for those muggy summer days. It's worth...More

An enjoyable area, many good cafes, coffee shops, ice cream bars etc plus a lovely park on edge of East River, and your starting point to walk over Brooklyn Bridge.

I hate that we didn't have more time to spend here. The views were breathtaking! And of course, there's that iconic shot that must be taken by everyone.... :)

It's the waterfront between the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges. We downloaded a walking tour that takes most of a morning. Renovation everywhere but it hasn't lost its charm. Great vistas of New York across the East River. Plenty of places to stop for a snack...More

Dear Jamie, I visited Dumbo with my sister who lives in NY. She drove, while I took pictures of the sites. My suggestion is that you use WAZE to navigate your way. Once there, have a blast and enjoy. Michelle

In Manhat tan is 34th Street. In Brooklyn you have options but Williamsburg is one.

Check out hotel le jolie. It's in Williamsburg which is about 10 minutes away but it's also a fun place to be.
