We took the ferry from Manhattan to Brooklyn. It was well worth it. The ferry is inexpensive and you get a great view of the city from the river. It was well worth doing.

This ferry service is just great. It is a flat fare of $2.75 and you can travel from 34th Street Midtown to Wall Street via Brooklyn. It's comfortable and fast.

After visiting the park there was a small line to the ferry. I decided to take it to return to midtown, instead of subway (the station is a little far from the park). Clean boat with comfortable seats and a snack bar inside the boat.
