Wouldn't go out of my way to get here, but if you're staying locally (and looking for fresh produce to prepare at home) or find yourself in the neighbourhood on a Saturday morning then it's well worth having a look.

This is a very average farmer's market. Not bad for a market in the city. Folks who are familiar with markets outside the city probably will not be terribly impressed. Produce is fresher then what's available in grocery stores. Prices are relatively high. Don't expect any bargains here or any really unusual items.

Located at the Northwest entrance to Prospect Park and a quick walk from the Grand Army Plaza subway stop, the "Greenmarket" is a great place for bread, veggies, fruits, meats, jams, cheese, eggs, and about anything else you could want. I would recommend buying some cheese and bread and then going into Prospect Park for a nice lunch and enjoy... More

There's a large selection of fresh and high quality fruits, vegetables, bread, baked goods etc. After you make a purchase you can take it into Prospect Park, which is right there, and sit down on the lawn or a bench and... Lots of fruits, vegetables, breads and more. Everything we saw (and tasted) was fresh and sellers were helpful and friendly.

Every Saturday starting early morning vendors set up their stalls. One can find variety of fruits, vegetables, jams, cheeses etc. In one word "farmer's market" Price vary between stalls so it is good to shop around but most of them are a little on the higher end. But the quality of produce is good. Everything is fresh and taste good.... More

This little market is slowly expanding as the growing season progresses. You can find; fresh dairy products, apples, cider and hard cider, a fresh fish market stall, lots of fresh herbs (both cut and ready to use as well as plants to grow), fresh vegetables, several varieties of potatoes, fresh baked goods (there were at least 3 stalls on the...
