This Aquarium is not too big, rather intimate. There is a nice part with a building devoted at shark, very interesting. This day, unfortunately no show, it was in maintenance. In two hours at more, you did the tour.

The Aquarium is improved since Hurricane Sandy, but it is still pricy for the size of it ( plan for a 2-3 hour trip ). The new shark tank is great and a few things are in the works but over all it is small.

The visit to the New York Aquarium was very good. The shark exhibit, main hall, and sea lion feeding were the highlights and were excellent. The shark 4D movie was very good. Aquarium is small and needs expansion.

Went today with 4 others, spent a total of $130 on tickets alone and honestly, I don't think it's worth it. A lot of exhibits were closed, which I understand happens, but why don't they warn you before hand so you can make a choice...More

There are no free days in August. I believe that every day in both July and August are half price from the normal entrance fee.
