Spent a Friday afternoon here midway through a 5 day break in NYC. Got the subway direct with no changes...only took an hour. Great to get away from the city, the beach is quite clean and the amusement park was great fun for our 4...More
Coney Island is an iconic part of New York. The beach is very nice and sandy, a theme park is situated on the front, lots of food outlets on the front. A little tough in places and around the subway but glad I visited.
This should be a must visit for everyone. It’s amazing that you can get this in New York. Makes you feel like you’re in California. Lovely views of the sea. Check in advance to see if the theme park is open.
Coney Island was on my list of places to visit due to its appearance in iconic films such as Requiem for a Dream, Brooklyn and Goodfellas.

There will be a few pubs open a ton of places to eat obviously the amusement park would be closed but just walking the boardwalk would be wonderful during the winter months go have some fun you won’t regret it
