Everyone should experience walking across the Brooklyn Bridge whether you start from downtown NYC or Brooklyn. Great exercise and views, definitely a must-do for visitors and residents. Ideal in the autumn, a cool summer or spring day would be nice also to make the journey....More

This is a place that is an every-day normality to New Yorkers but an amazing sight to a tourist like me. In many ways it is an engineering and an architectural marvel. And, to an engineer, beautiful.

Such a great walk! No matter what side you start on, you'll get a great view of the bridge and Manhattan with enough walking. Watch out for bicycles and tourists blocking the entire walkway.

Yes there are many benches along the bridge. But people do use them to stand on for elevated photo op's so don't wear light coloured pants!
