This hike has great vistas and gives you a number of trails to take allowing you to hike to the top or take paths to more of the flat or downhill trails a number of the trails. Either way, the views are to be experinced....More
Daughter stationed at Fort Wainwright took us here while we were visiting here this past July. Could not believe the scenery it produced for just $5 vehicle fee. By far the best value near Fairbanks Alaska for hiking.
We decided to walk this trail as it looked to be about about the right time and distance. It is a 3.5 mile loop trail leading up to Angel rocks. These are spectacular granite outcrops or referred to as Tors in the UK.
Haven’t done this since my 20s, will definitely come back with my kids (teens). Remember your bug dope and your water. The top of the rocks has a nice breeze, trail along the river is a bit buggy. Great time outside!
This is a great place for hiking especially if you are looking for something that is only moderately difficult in parts and has some amazing views. It is not to far from Fairbanks. Most people only hike up to the rocks and then back down...More
