Museum is closed forever . We walked there and saw workers removing the cases. Apparently rent was too high and they could no long afford to be in business

As were walking through downtown Fairbanks, we saw this dog mushing museum. It was extremely interesting to see all the different sleds, read the history of the races, and see the many artifacts.

Very nice and impressive little exposition about dogsledding history in Alaska, as well as on the Klondike gold rush. It takes 30 minutes more or less..(don`t miss the creperie in the same building lol)

I didn't realize the history of dog mushing prior to this experience. The museum presents a history and exposure to key milestones and people important to dog mushing in Alaska.

We thought this was a great opportunity to really see how sled dogs lived, were trained and view their demonstration. We liked it a lot and were pleased to be able to purchase an autographed copy of their children's book.
