Free to visit showcases what can grow really well in Alaska. Many of the garden beds are overgrown and this could be a drop dead gorgeous garden with a little TLC

A magical garden...here you are transported from the worries and woe of the day to Queen Mabs doorstep, where dreams take shape in the form of Mother Natures best work...envelope your senses in the sweet nectar, and glorious hues...an artist's palette, a writer's prose...

The size and variety of flowers were not expected in Alaska. A nice place for a quiet walk. And check out the farmers market just down the road.

The botanical garden isn't just for show; they plant varieties of many plants to test whether they thrive in extreme climate of Fairbanks. Summer displays are a riot of colors and shapes. Outdoor concerts in the garden in summer.

This is a great place to take a little walk and enjoy the many flowers and plants on display. They do a great job with the space they have.

Yes, it was a donation of $5 each. But OH MY GOSH........THE WEEDS, THE WEEDS and MORE WEEDS. Perhaps since I'm a farmer/gardener from my youth, I have higher standards!!!!! TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT. I felt sorry for the plants. They were strangling from all the weeds...More

How to get here from Princess Lodge in Fairbanks

Princess Lodge does have vans - I would ask if they could drop you off at Georgeson. But you may need to call a cab; it's between 4 and 5 miles.
