On our way to the airport we stopped to see the shop. We enjoyed watching bowls being carved and chose a bowl to remember our trip by. Our daughter started her classes at University of Alaska today so we chose to etch the U of A with their mascot. We got to watch the bowl during the entire process and... More

As part of our city tour our driver took us here because we had already been to the pipeline. The bowls were very unique especially the ones with designs. They are little expensive but it seemed appropriate. There is other things to look out and purchase other than bowls.

It was neat to watch bowls being made and the etching process. I was hoping for a bit more selection and the prices seemed a little high on some items. Staff were helpful.

We found a unique heart-shaped bowl here that we plan to use for decorative purposes only. There are many designs and fonts to choose from that they will burn into the bowl and its stand while you wait. The burning process was quick and the quality was very good. The staff was very helpful and made good suggestions of what... More

I made a mistake on spelling a name etched into a bowl and they replaced it for me. Totally my fault but they were nice about it. I highly recommend this company not only for their product but their generosity.

Check this place out and explore handmade birch arts, honey, sirup..... Step to the showroom, and you can watch how a piece of birch wood turns out into a beauterful bowl.

The Bowl Co. makes their own wooden bowls from white birch. They usually have someone making the bowls which you can watch. There are many styles sizes and all kinds of other products they make.. Also you can have items personalized using a lazar to etch the wood etc. The products are expensive, but we think they are worth the... More

We were spending our last day in AK and passed by the store after making a wrong turn and my wife insisted we stop in. Bouncing our way through the pot-holed gravel drive to the back of the building where the entrance was, we found it. You can watch the bowls being made through glass windows. A wide variety of... We were fortunate to have arrived when a set of bowls were being machine carved. With the right set of tools, it was a simple process. It was very educational to watch. Other bowls displayed were specialty bowls such as the Husky picture. Later, we saw the hotel name on a bowl when we checked in. Other birch products were... More

It's neat to watch the carvers work their magic. The bowls are unique but pricely. Window shopping doesn't cost a thing, though.
