My family and I have gone to Old Mill Park for years. Now hundreds and hundreds of people go there on weekends to various events and parties with their families and friends. Go early and pick out a spot..there are some shaded areas to enjoy! In addition, many people wade out to the Rappahannock River and enjoy the water, too.

It's a good place to unwind along the banks of the Rappahannnock River. This is the site of the Fourth of July fireworks display for the City of Fredericksburg each year.

Oak Mill Park is a place where everyone smiles and greets one another in passing. Cyclists, runners, and walkers/dog walkers all coexist in freedom from dissension between one another and form a pleasing and consistent whole, which is a welcomed behavior in today's world of persistent rudeness. The flow and view of the Rappahannock River is calming. The trail is... More

The park is very clean, very open, great for running, soccer and those types of activities. The river it ok, my only con would be that they do not have sufficient picinic tables and only 3 shelters to rent. The parking space is not that big, in the peak season you must be there really early to get a table... More

Take your pup for a walk, go for a bike ride along the trail, picnic, friendly soccer games, and family gatherings. You can stick your toes in the water as the park is directly along the Rappahannock River. There are frequent events on the weekends to in the warm months. If you play in the grass be careful of poison... More

This park has a nice view and access to the river. There is a nice playground (with equipment) for small children and large fields for various games. There are several covered picnic areas (which can be reserved). Plenty of free parking. Great picnic, swimming, fishing and relaxing location.

Nice park. Can play baseball to fish in the Rappahannock River. Lots of room and many places to bbq. Paved walking trails go through the park. Playground for the kids. Park your car and enjoy the day at this park. The park also has picnic tables and grills near the river.

This park has a lot to offer. It is mostly flat with a lot of open fields. There is a nice playground for kids to play on. The park is along the rapahannock river. You can go swim in the river at the far side of the park. There is plenty of parking and plenty of shady areas around the... More
