We were visiting Fort Vancouver National Historic Site and decided to have lunch. The Grant House sits on Officers' Row and has absolutely wonderful clam chowder. They rotate different beers but had our local favorite when we visited (Nikes Total Domination IPA).

It is nice street and if you find a guide they will tell you about history of this place. It is great to learn history, walking, picknicking and taking fancy pictures. We had one of our relative wedding pictures taken there and they came out good.

I'm not real sure why this is a place to review. Perhaps because it's a historical place but for me, it's now a row of houses that are office spaces. Nice buildings though.

We had our daughter's wedding reception at the Marshall House. We had access to the entire house and grounds for four hours on a lovely afternoon. The cost was shockingly reasonable as it is a park. There are many lovely old homes along Officers Row to enjoy as well as well groomed lawns.

Let me start with part of the official description from the Ft. Vancouver website: "...twenty-two fully-restored nineteenth century homes situated on twenty-one acres just north of the Vancouver Barracks Parade Grounds. All listed on the National Historic Register, today these homes are offices and residences with several open to the public, including the Marshall House and Ulysses S. Grant House,... More

We took out of town guests here expecting a great experience. I ordered clam chowder.....it had three small pieces of clams in the entire bowl and so salty, it could not be eaten. The server removed the other plates when the guests were finished and left me sitting there looking at this strange dish of a pink concoction that was... More

Park at Fort Vancouver Visitor's Center and then walk the sidewalk in front of the many beautiful houses that the officer's lived in at Fort Vancouver! We enjoyed the different architectural styles and the many sign boards describing the area and history. The entire fort area is a beautiful 1.5 hour walk in a Sunday afternoon in the Fall. The... I was not aware of Officer's Row until we visited my aunt in Vancouver. This is really an interesting place to visit , especially if you are a military/history person.

Historic, scenic area. The Grant House has a great restaurant with a comprehensive lunch and dinner menu and a fine Happy Hour.

I love to drive through here on the way home. Classic old homes and living quarters..a real delight. I have yet to dine in this location.
