They are releveling and redoing the grass between the gravestones so this visit wasn't the best. I got some pictures, though.

Lots of civil war graves as well as grave of the ‘hanging judge’, Isaac C. Parker (section 9, grave 4000). Way to many Unknown Soldiers, hard to imagine for any family.

Sibling reunion in Van Buren, Arkansas. Visit to parents grave site in national cemetery. Tour of old home places and great food.

A bunch of us rode our motorcycles down to the Fort Smith National Cemetery last December for the Laying of the Wreaths. It was very inspiring hearing the speeches and seeing all of the beautiful wreaths decorating all the graves.

Dates to Civil War. Was there for my Nephews funeral. Pretty scenery. Well kept. Responsible staff. Rolling hills.

I have two brothers buried there and I always feel peaceful when I visit their graves. It is well maintained and respectful of those who gave their all.

Beautiful and respectful place. Flags decorate headstones on National holidays and wreaths and Christmas. It is a beautiful place to pay respect to those who have served.

Any National Cemetery is sobering. Our nation's finest and heroes are buried here. Sometimes it pains me when I see children just running around between the graves and laughing, it would help to have some signs posted that this is a very special place and...More
