- Jody BSartell, Minnesota141 contributionsWonderful! We were lucky enough to have Gary Webb, the owner, there when we visited. Got so much out of the three hours we spent here! The personal stories associated with the artifacts were what truly made this museum spectacular. Thank you, Gary! We shall recommend your museum to everyone we know!Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 22 January 2024
- HudsonValleyNewYork36 contributionsAmazing museum that will captivate your attentionAn amazing collection of military items from the personal collection of the owner as well as donated items. Although small in size, the museum is well worth the admission fee as the items seen would rival any larger military museum that I visited. The collection of WWII memorabilia is definitely the highlight, although Civil War and Vietnam war are also well represented. Mr. Webb and his family should be commended for the time and dedication to preserving these important pieces of history.Visited April 2024Travelled with familyWritten 6 April 2024
- janet gKaty, Texas928 contributionsGo hereMy hubby LOVES museums. And me, not so much. We ducked into the museum during a downpour. Lori (I think) gave us a very good intro. And then we self guided. There are so many cool things in this small spot. It’s a good way to spend an hour or so. I recommend.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 18 May 2024

What a nice gem in the heart of Savannah. The owner of the museum came while we were there and spent time talking about the different artifacts located in his museum. He was very knowledgeable and spent time with my family sharing stories about some of the items in the museum. His collection spans multiple wars. I would highly recommend this museum for anyone!

My friend and I stumbled upon this museum unexpectedly during our recent vacation & are so glad we did! The owner of the museum, Gary, is a super nice guy and has a very impressive collection. I' don't consider myself a "history buff" and still enjoyed this musuem as one of the highlights of our vacation. Whether you're into history or not, we highly recommend stopping by this museum when in Savannah!

A must-see attraction for anyone even remotely interested in history. You won't find a finer collection of significant historical artifacts anywhere else. Mr. Webb personally led us through most of the museum and explained so many of the pieces which really brought it all to life. Thank you for a wonderful experience. The kids really enjoyed it as well!

I wish all museums were like this one - no colorful pamphlets, fancy display cases and stale snack bars, but lots of authentic pieces and historical information and anecdotes. It’s personal too; Mr. Webb not only collected everything in the museum, a lot of the pieces came from people he knew, many of them family or friends. And he can tell you their stories too, making the whole experience even more interesting.
The pieces are from all of America’s wars from the civil war through the war on terror. There are weapons and uniforms of course but so much more - even the cockpit and front end of a Soviet MIG fighter jet. It’s well worth the modest price of admission, would recommend to anyone, even if your not a military or history buff. My wife and I spent about 45 minutes there, could’ve spent an hour or more if we had the time.

Heard about this museum while on the trolley tour. As a veteran, and self-proclaimed history and military buff, we felt this was a must see while in town and we’re sure glad we did! Mr. Webb, along with his daughter, greeted us as we entered the museum. He was highly visible throughout and readily available to ask questions which allowed him the opportunity to expound upon the incredible stories well beyond the placard’s situated throughout the exhibit. Not only do they have a litany of incredible artifacts from each of the war era‘s, all of which is from his personal collection, they make it super enjoyable for the young with a scavenger hunt. You can easily spend anywhere from an hour to a half a day exploring this wonderful gem the city of Savannah should be thrilled to have in their city.

An amazing place to visit when in Savannah. Quite a different museum packed with a huge number of displays covering so much military history.
It focuses more on actual exhibits than on long wordy explanations yet still with quite sufficient information on each item on display.
We really enjoyed it very much & it is definitely well worth immersing yourself in war history through the ages in this museum.

We saw this museum on the hop on hop off bus as our time was short in Savannah, we did drive to the museum on our last day! Glad we went and our lucky day as Gary was giving a tour to his friends from his high school and we were lucky enough to be going in and he let us join his tour! His collection of war memorabilia and his stories were amazing, he is very passionate about his collection of items and his stories left you wanting to hear more. My 13 year old son really enjoyed this museum as well. I enjoyed looking at some of the old newspapers from the different eras that he had in there. I would highly recommend this as a must see in Savannah! Wish you could get a bus stop at your location as I really thought this was a great museum!

We were quite surprised about the quantity, quality, and variety of military items this museum holds. It is amazing that one person was able to collect so many things, which are now under the loving caretaking of his family. I found the items from the WWII Concentration camps to be very moving. Our only concern is that there are so many things to see and a limited space for display that it was difficult to really see many items as they are shown above the display cases. This museum truly deserves a larger space. It honors those who have served and is one of the best historical collections of authentic military items we have ever seen...and we have visited many similar museums. I hope that perhaps some corporations will be willing to sponsor and donate to this museum to preserve the memory and artifacts for future generations.

I ended up here thanks to a tip from an Old Town Trolley tour guide and am SO glad I went. It ended up being the most interesting thing that I saw on my Savannah trip! I went in here solo and gasped or said "wow" audibly to myself about something new in each display case. There is just SO MUCH STUFF. I spent about 30 minutes in here but if you read every sign and really took your time, you could end up spending an hour instead. The owner's collection is super impressive. I didn't walk in expecting to see a gas mask for a horse, Bob Hope's shirt for his Vietnam show, or a painting from Saddam Hussein's palace. But these disparate items don't even cover what's to be found here...though they well represent the variety of things you can find in here. I especially loved seeing all the newspapers from the Pearl Harbor attack and other big military events to see how things were framed at the time. I'm so impressed by this collection. I immediately started texting my family (whom sadly wasn't with me on the trip) about how cool it was and that they'd love it. If you're in Savannah and are a history buff, this is definitely a must-see! Plus it's conveniently located near other sites in the historic district. (I stopped by in between visits to the Juliette Gordon Low birthplace and the Davenport house.)

The visit was incredible! Very small museum but it took us an hour and that wasn’t enough time. What helped to make it so great was the energetic and vastly knowledgable Mr Webb, who is the owner and the collector of the entire collection. He never stopped visiting with various guests and telling stories (of the artifacts but also his family’s personal war stories, which are amazing) the whole time. He was super personable but it was all also very professionally done. The collection is impressive because of the variety of items he has and because of some of the unique and valuable items and stories behind them. Don’t let the small size fool you. One of our favorite stops. I didn’t have younger kids w me but another family did and he provided a scavenger for the boy and interacted w him so great! Don’t miss this historical stop. No other museum like it in Savannah.

This was one of the best museums I’d been to yet. It’s a must if in Savannah and interested in military history. This is Mr Webb’s personal collection he has amassed over the years and was there to answer questions give information and share where items came from and their story. I could literally spend hours here
