Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Armstrong House was one of the stops on our walking tour. We learned about the history of the building and how it was transformed into a college after it was donated to the city. The Italian replica statues of Florence’s wild boar and David are on the lawn.

Unexpected to have such a wonderful place. Rather than stock antiques and a formal air to the place, I found this place set up as if it was to be my home. The furnishings had a welcoming appereance, whilst still being luxurious. The owners paintings on the wall were beautiful. The continental breakfast was tasty and the staff friendly. I really felt I had gotten my money's worth.

Built in 1935 as a College, this beautiful mansion of a house is gorgeous. Unfortunately, since 1970 it has been bought and occupied by a Law Firm, so was not able to go see the insides.

When we visited Savannah, the home was being renovated for its new owner. I loved learning the history of the building during the free walking tour of Savannah.

The Armstrong House once belonged to a local antique dealer named Jim Williams who was featured in the book, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (according to the history of the house). The house was featured in the movie based on the book along with the Mercer Williams House and Museum. The Armstrong building was once housed the Armstrong College administrative building. Stop by to take your selfie with a historic house with famous story before strolling to the Park near by.

We really liked the design of the building as it stood out in the heart of this historical city. This is definitely a unique design and gives charm to a city that has already plenty.

This was our second trip in the past four weeks to Savannah as well as our second time staying at an Armstrong Inn property. We were just as pleased with our one bedroom, two story Chatham House Suite accommodations as we were with the accommodations at The Jenkins House. Both have individual appeal and being able to enjoy the two balconies at The Chatham house set this location apart from the Jenkins House. The home cooked meals and attention to detail by Monique and her team make it had to leave. Job well done and another weekend spent making memories!
