    The Buzz of Savannah
Conveniently located a short walk from the River Walk, Savannah Bee Company is the perfect place to grab a drink and enjoy the AC on a hot day. One mead flight is enough for two adults or order a different flight each and share! The staff is knowledgeable and kind, explaining mead, it's history and the process in a way that is interesting and entertaining.  There is a wide selection of products: mead, totes/bags, candles, lotions, beauty supplies, and, of course, honey.  There is something here for everyone. I challenge you to leave empty-handed because I don't think you can!

Honey you're going to love it here
It has so many different flavors of honey to try. They have products made of honey including candles, lotions, and wine. The merch is cool, I got hats, and shirts. Kind of pricey but, I think it's worth it.

Savannah bee company was buzzing with free samples
I stopped by Savannah bee company while strolling the riverwalk in august. Their store is very cute with its honey bee themed decor. The store was buzzing with shoppers sampling products. I tried some cheese, honey, and fruit combo samples.

My husband and I were walking by the store, and wanted to go in. The location had just closed, but an employee who was at the door said we can come in as long we knew exactly what we wanted, and to go buy it. We went in, but still decided to look around as this was the first time we’ve been in one of their stores and there was a line at the register. We sanitized our hands, and the sanitizer smelt so good, I inquired to the same employee who let us in which product was it and I will buy it. She said none of their sanitizers belonged to the store. She said it in such a condescending tone that I had to justify why I asked. So not only she gave us marching orders when first entering the store, she was being very snippy too when asked a simple question. She and I ended up exchanging words about masks and Covid19 which led to her asking me to leave the store bc she did not like my attitude, so I obliged. My husband who was waiting in line to buy products, ended up putting them back and joined me outside.

Having worked in retail, I understand when the store is closed, most employees are in a rush to leave. It was kind of her to let us in, but HER attitude led to an unpleasant shopping experience. It would’ve been best for her to recommend to us to come back in the morning. And to another point, if a shopper praises a product that may help build up immunity, which strong immunity helps fights colds, its a good idea for the sales person to simply say "Ill look into it" instead of saying "there's no research on that." She could be 100% correct. But whats more important: shutting down a topic or to have a conversation about a main ingredient in one of your products that you're selling.

I emailed the experience directly to customer service, got no response. So here's my public review. I will not spend my money in one of your locations, but you didnt want it anyways.

I went into the store this weekend and was met with an Orange hair employee who stated mask were required to cover the nose and mouth. Which is the only store in Savannah who required this. Since we didn’t have them with us, we left. The employee followed us to the door and then continued to dance and followed us down the block in the store window mocking us. She was overly happy to chase their customers out the door. Please do not give this company your money!! They do not respect their customers at all.

So we went in to buy honey and tried several types. We found a gift bag with coffee and a side of honey. Perfect gift. We get to the counter and the sales girl rings it up double the price. The tag on the bag was $30. She charged us double. When we questioned her she said, oh that’s marked wrong. Then called a manager over who started taking the tag off. So there was a shelf with at least 3 gift bags marked wrong. NOT the way to handle business. You sell the one you have marked and you go get the others off the shelf! So then she lost that sale completely! Not that it mattered but we won’t be back and we use to go every trip to Savannah. Poor customer service!

Used to love Savannah Bee Company, but a double masked employee asked me to fully cover my nose when visiting the store this weekend. My mouth was covered and my mask was just slightly under my nose for a little fresh air. Walked out not making my purchase. I'm fully vaccinated and I am done with obsessive mask wearing. Spent the weekend in Savannah and this was the only store or restaurant that said anything to anyone. Lost a customer!

Such a darling shop, with the best gifts to take home to loved ones - all of whom reported that they LOVED the honey and other gifts. Various price points made this additionally attractive, as does the lovely woman working there. Thank you!

This is an awesome experience. We mead and wine tasted, We honey tasted. It was simply an awesome time. Staff are friendly and helpful, and very knowledgable in their product. The staff seem to truly like their job and take it seriously. The products are pricy but of a great quality. This is a must stop place for anyone in Savannah. I HIGHLY recommend!

We stopped in to check out the natural honeys. I was surprised I was able to taste them as well! Very safe and masks and social distancing was in play. This area of Savannah was quaint and clean and we enjoyed the older buildings. Parking was relatively easy with a meter system. This company was the highlight of our trip to the town. Will order more on the internet.

Myself & my husband LOVE bees & honey. We are knowledgeable about both & this place really wow’d us. The honey tasted incredible, there were plenty of different varieties & a ton of different honey products. We bought two jars & some lip balm & I wish we would have bought more! Family friendly & a great atmosphere.

I enjoy reading medieval mysteries. The characters commonly drink wine, ale - and mead. Since we last visited Savannah’s River Street new shops have been added. A retail outlet for the Savannah Bee Company is one of them. Staffed by friendly and knowledgeable staff, they have an extraordinary selection of honey-based products for sale. One of the product lines is mead. I didn’t know that mead was made from fermented honey. I learned that and had a chance to try samples at a tasting they offer. Entertaining and fun!
