During our evacuation “vacation” due to hurricane Florence, we were very fortunate that the Lucas Theatre had a concert with Velvet Caravan, Annie Sellick and Mercury Orkestar Balkan Brass. The concert was superb and the theatre seats very comfortable with excellent sight lines due to...More

Lucas Theatre is great and I enjoy going here for the Savannah Philharmonic concerts. Sadly, my past few experiences here were not so great, because of the lack of air conditioning towards the back of the balcony. This detracted from my experience, which is really...More

We went for a retro movie night and it was so much fun. It is like going back in time and seeing Audrey Hepburn movies with wonderful snacks and drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic). Wonderful and friendly staff. Seats a little uncomfortable, but not enough...More

I love the Lucas Theater! I have been here to see two shows: “A Motown Christmas” (excellent, by the way) and “The Nutcracker.” A charming local spot that you have to visit.

A lovely theatre- beautifully restored. Attended a holiday concert which was terrific. It was easy to see the stage from any seat in the orchestra section. The acoustics were good. Ticket prices were moderate. Definitely a great place to see a live performance.

I love going here to see the Savannah Philharmonic/Symphony, and seeing David Sedaris read here was nice as well. Beautifully restored building (the tour is cool if you're into that angle) with plenty of entertainment options year round, close to many great restaurants on Broughton...More

We went there for a music show and were impressed. It's a great old theater that is in good shape. We were greeted by a good staff and had a great time. The theater is in an easily walkable section of the historic district.

Went to a concert here- lovely theater- seats were comfortable, and I don't think there was a bad seat in the place! We sat in the balcony- center and we loved the seats. Stayed at River Street Inn-so had a short walk. Got home and...More

We really enjoyed walking by the building every day as it really reminded us of the theater from the movie Back to the Future. The architectural design is beautiful and unique. We loved the old school 50's style sign wrapped around the front.

I meant front row balcony on my previous post. Orchestra Center or front row balcony are my choices. The venue is so small there are no far away seats like there are in an arena.

I'm sure there is. I noted it is posted on the marquee. They do give tours of the building. Times are posted in the doors.
