Savannah is a quaint historic city but most of it's parks are minuscule intended originally to serve the surrounding square of a few streets but Forsyth is the sole exception covering 30 acres with every feature of a large park from football fields to kid's playgrounds to great walking areas for you & your Dog . The streets surrounding this... More

We walked the length of the park and back on a lovely sunny day. It was very pleasant. Many families had pick-nicks and played ball games etc. Good, green and clean open spaces for kids to run around and, of course, lovely big oak trees and the famous fountain. I don't think it is a park of great outstanding beauty... More

When in Savannah you must travel through the Historic District. We did three types of tours and can highly recommend all three ways. Old Savannah Tours and Carriage Tours of Savannah were EXCELLENT choice for going by the fountain. Old Savannah Tours you can actually get off the ride and go take photos. There was some minimal overlapping information but... More

Definitely a must see. We went during the day but fountain appears to have lights so we will be back tonight to view again. Love the history! Also a 300+ year old Oak Tree in the Park area.

Definitely a place you should visit. To hear the history from the tour we went on and to imagine it then vs now. The scenery is beautiful, the fountain is peaceful and picturesque.

I loved this place. The historic homes surrounding the area are awesome and majestic. People start working out in the park as early as 5 am

We really enjoyed our walk through Forsyth Park. It is kept very very clean. Of course we had to take photos by the fountain. TAKE NOTE: There was a man hanging out there with his bike and seemed to be panhandling. We politely declined his offer and that was the end of it. The park is very shaded and there... More

This park in the middle.of.town not only offers a lot of space to exercise or just stroll but also provides a trip back in time. The Spanish Moss covered trees and the large azaleas provide a beautiful backdrop for sweetheart pictures and the scenic view around the park of all of the Victorian homes is second to none. The fountain... More
