Very nice park, do not go alone. Some questionable people in the area so have someone with you and avoid after dark. But during he day take advantage of a lovely spacious area.

Lovely park and so worth the walk. We walked most of the parks on a Sunday. Dogs, kids and people. Public restrooms too.

First visit to Savannah so worked our way through the squares from the river and ended the walk at Forsyth. Farmer's Market in full swing, fountain flowing, flowers blooming--great way to spend an hour.

It is probably the most beautiful city park I have ever seen. We took a big blanket relaxed, read a book & people watched. It has a restaurant or pack a picnic. I realized I don't do this enough . I really enjoyed and wished...More

Savannah is such a beautiful walking city with all the green squares. Take your time and visit all and read the history. The fountain, green space and flowers are just gorgeous here.

Don’t rush through this beautiful urban paradise. Live oaks with Spanish moss shade the paths. The most photographed place is the fountain. Take time to see the Marine Memorial and the Conferate Memorial. The cafe was closed for renovations. Students from SCAD are sketching in...More

Walked to the park for the Farmer's Market on a Saturday morning. The park is spacious, well-groomed and open (allows for plenty of sunshine). The Farmer's Market was small, but maybe the city wants to keep it that way for some reason. It and the...More

I thoroughly enjoyed my morning walks from my Airbnb to the historic district which took me through Forsyth Park. There is plenty to take in - monuments, the famous fountain, and trademark moss-draped trees. Benches afford plenty of places to relax from sightseeing. The park...More

This park is easily accessed by the free DOT shuttles, and though it is long and linear, it seemed to have a number of different activities going on with some being very active, live music, etc, and other areas being quiet and easy paced.
