I hosted my employees for a manager meeting in Savannah and decided to treat our group to a carriage tour for a little fun and history since most everyone was from out of town. The tour owner was awesome in helping arrange our larger group, and accommodated all of our special requests. They even arranged to meet our group at... More

We booked a private carriage for a tour of the historic district. First let me say it was January and in the 50's so none of the bad horse smell. I really wish we could remember the name of the lady who did our tour (from up North), and she was very knowledgeable. We had our 4 year old son... More

It is not cheap, but worth the price to get a good overview of the city. We've taken both the bus/trolley tour and the horse-drawn carriage tour. The horse-drawn carriage tour is the most enjoyable but obviously not able to cover as many sites as the bus/trolley tour. Our tour guide was very personable to provided a lot of interesting... We found the tour to be a very nice adjunct to the busier, more hectic trolley tours. Our driver offered new information and showed us things that the others did not. Our tour time of late afternoon (nearing sunset) turned out to be perfect for the up-close and personal look of the historic district. Very glad we did both kinds... More

We had a wonderful time! It didn't start right, we had to call and the only available tour was at 6 pm, meaning we had to wait for about 5 hours. But our daughter really wanted this one, so we had to find something to do... and we did. However, it was worthy. We were on a public tour in... More

Carriage rides are one of my 2 favorite things to do on a vacation, so I always look forward to them. This one was ok. Usually, in the other cities we have visited, the tours have provided much more history as we move throughout the city, and typically you can get some good photos. However, this one seemed minimal on... More

A bit expensive for spending the tour with other people, but overall a nice view of the city and a good historical overview if you have never been there before.

We did the mixed tour which is both the history of savannah and a mix in of the ghost atorues. Very knowledgeable guide and entertaining. You see many of the famous hot spots of savannah.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. It turned out that our guide, Beth, is a middle school teacher. She was very friendly and informative. We did a private tour so it was just my family. I recommend a tour especially if you are new to Savannah. This is an excellent way to get to know the city. Also, Justin the guy... More
