We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We loved wandering among the many squares in the old city and did it over several days of our visit. This is one, very pretty with great landscaping and a good place to sit and admire.

I slipped over to the square late one night in my Savannah stay to get the feel of the deep Southern evening. The cool breeze stirred the Spanish moss, and the streetlights cast long shadows. It was a peaceful moment in a city rich with history.

It's not one of the nicest squares in town, but it is very quiet with some convenient shaded benches under the live oak trees dripping with Spanish Moss. The Pro is named for John Calhoun, a U.S. Senator from South Carolina and VP under presidents John Quincy Adams and Adrew Jackson.
Overlooking the square is "Massie Common School House", which obviously was a school, but also briefly a hospital when General William Sherman arrived with his troops in December 1864. The impressive church at the square, the Wesley Monumental United Methodist church, is from 1878. Savannah's largest park, Forsyth Park is only 2 blocks away.

This particular square is not as busy as some others, and is nice for a peaceful stroll, or a dog walk. The homes surrounding are gorgeous, and the Wesley Monumental UMC is on this square, which has a great history if you research the story.

Named for John C. Calhoun this square is in the historic district. Next to the park is a large historic church & the common school. Walk around the neighborhood then stop to rest, relax & enjoy the square before resuming your tour.
