Oatland Island has been one of my favorite places to visit for over 5 years -- ( and I'm a local :) !!! There are a wide variety of animals, as well as a green house and gift shop. I often just go there to walk the trails, enjoy the beautiful marsh view and visit the animals, as it is... More

they had alligators, wolves, cougar, foxes, bison, some snakes, owls, eagles, and some other farm animals you could pet. Its a quaint little park, but much much more walking than was described. On a hot day, takes lots of water and no restrooms till the end, so plan accordingly, this is actually in South Carolina. Just over the savannah bridge.... More

There are lots of different animals available to see that you don't normally see in a typical zoo. The environment for the animals is much more true to what they would normally experience in the wild. They take animals that are otherwise not able to survive in the wild and care for them. It was definitely an enjoyable activity, especially... More

We took our for children on a Sunday. It was absolutely beautiful. Tons to do, tons to see and tons to learn. I completely recommend this place for a family. Our kids loved seeing the wildlife and learning about them. They even have activities throughout the month for different age groups! We cannot wait to go back!

We were there while they were filming scenes for a move about the under ground railroad. We were able to see some of the animals but not all as it was raining and some were in side for the day.

I gave this an average rating though my children and I enjoyed both our visits. The place has so much unrealized potential, which is probably due to funding. We did attend one of the wildlife talks, which was reasonably well done. Seeing the outside exhibits is along a trail that loops about the property. It's good for getting kids out... More

We make the trip here a couple times a year and the kids (8,6,2) always love it. It's a small zoo with the exhibits spaced out nicely throughout wooded walking trails so the majority of it is shaded. The animals are well taken care of and it price for admission is extremely reasonable.

I am a Savannah resident and have visit Oatland Island numerous times, just never sat down and wrote a review. Last visit was Summer 2014, BUT, TripAdvisor didn't allow me to put anything before Oct. 2015.(My Bad). But the Center has maintained a fairly constant product, with LOTS of improvements over the years. This is a wonderful place to see... More

A wonderful way to spend a few hours strolling through nature and marveling at the beautiful animals. At 5 dollars per adult, it's a great value.

Cheap couple of hours to kill with adults being $5 and most kids $3. The animal presentation is really sort of weak if you have been to a good zoo such as Cincinnati or St Louis. My Fitbit measured 2.4 miles total for the walk. The animals could barely be seen and honestly once you get past the reptiles in... More
