This is one of many very nice squares in Savannah. It is famous, of course, because of Forrest Gump. I sat on a bench there several years ago. I think it was a replica but is was a while ago so maybe it was the...More

This park gets most notoriety for the location of Forrest Gump's famous bench. This, of course, was a total production prop and there was never really a bench there ...it is a garden. That said, it is a really nice park with plenty of benches...More

worth seeing at night, as the trees are amazing. I am sure its just as beautiful during the day. Of the 4 squares I saw, this was my favorite.

Nice square but in a city like Savannah so full of beautiful squares, this one is just another one. I guess the connection with Forest Gump makes it special, even though there is not sign indicating as much.

Visited here whilst in Savannah. Nice square. Expected a bit more fuss over the Forrest Gump connection though. Still nice though.

The church where the feather floats by is near and the Gump bench is no longer there. Still the Oglethorpe statue is there and it's hot.

Really nice square of many that we took on our tour. Great place for pictures and picnic. I believe is where the statue of James Oglethorpe, the founder of Savannah is.

I don't get why TripAdvisor sets this up as a solo place. All of Savannah's squares work as a story and are key to this gem of a city. Visit all of them.
